It's a mustang, it's a bear, it's a horse standing on a chair. It's 25 years of public art in Denver. Begun by Mayor Federico Pena, and signed into ordinance by Mayor Wellington Webb, the program mandates 1% of spending on any city project over a million dollars be set aside for art in the project. Denver Public Art Manager , Michael Chavez will speak to us at our December meeting about the program. So whether you love the Boteros or hate them, join us for a holiday celebration of art.
